Games like Blooket usually copy the arcade, not the answer.

Blooket made the quiz feel like a video game, and I respect how well it did that. The trade was a mode where a student can answer 8 of 60 questions and still win, because a Gold Quest chest randomly flipped the scoreboard. That student is who this ranking is for.

I build <a href="/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>LearnClash</strong></a>, so read the #1 slot with that in mind. It leads because every duel feeds an ELO ladder and spaced repetition: a missed answer comes back in 7 days, not nowhere. The other ten picks each solve a different Blooket complaint, and I re-checked the pricing and player caps for this update on August 4, 2026. [Duel me on classroom trivia](/t/general-knowledge-trivia) if you would rather test the difference than read about it.

<div class="blog-post__verdict-bar">

**Quick verdict, August 2026.** LearnClash is the pick when the score has to mean something next week. Wayground owns self-paced homework, Gimkit the strategy economy, Kahoot the live show. Blooket's own 2026 wave shipped Adventure Quest, Quiz Kingdom, Save States, and Plus Flex; none of the 11 alternatives added spaced repetition.

## Quick Comparison: Games Like Blooket Ranked by What Happens After the Answer

LearnClash leads a field that splits into four jobs: ranked duel apps, self-paced quiz tools, classroom arcade games, and curriculum-aligned activity platforms. LearnClash ranks first because the loop continues after the round through ELO tiers and spaced repetition. Most alternatives stop at the leaderboard, which is fun and also easy to forget by next class.

![Comparison matrix ranking 11 games like Blooket by what happens after the answer: LearnClash #1 for ELO duels and spaced repetition, then Wayground, Gimkit, Kahoot, Quizalize, Mission.io, Wordwall, Baamboozle, Knowt, Quizlet, Mentimeter](../../../assets/blog/games-like-blooket/games-like-blooket-quick-comparison.png)
*The strongest game like Blooket depends on the job. LearnClash is the only game here that turns a wrong answer into a scheduled review across days.*

| Rank | Game | Best game loop | Free limit | Where it beats Blooket |
|---:|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | <a href="/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>LearnClash</strong></a> | 1v1 ranked duel + SRS | Daily duels | Knowledge that sticks past the round |
| 2 | <a href="https://wayground.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Wayground (Quizizz)</strong></a> | Self-paced + AI curriculum | Free for educators | Better self-paced and homework |
| 3 | <a href="https://www.gimkit.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Gimkit</strong></a> | Strategy economy + Creative | Featured modes free | Answers buy upgrades, not chests |
| 4 | <a href="https://kahoot.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Kahoot</strong></a> | Host-led live show | 10 personal / 40 school | Proven peer-reviewed research |
| 5 | <a href="https://www.quizalize.com/en-us" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Quizalize</strong></a> | Mastery dashboard + browser games | 20 students, 1 class | Standards tracking |
| 6 | <a href="https://mission.io/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Mission.io</strong></a> | Story-driven STEM missions | Trial-based | Whole-class narrative play |
| 7 | <a href="https://wordwall.net/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Wordwall</strong></a> | Template mini-games | 3 activities | Fast format switching |
| 8 | <a href="https://www.baamboozle.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Baamboozle</strong></a> | Whole-class team board | Free Basic | No student devices needed |
| 9 | <a href="https://knowt.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Knowt</strong></a> | AI flashcards + practice tests | Free tier | Free Quizlet substitute |
| 10 | <a href="https://quizlet.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Quizlet</strong></a> | Flashcards + Learn mode | Free study sets | Mobile flashcard depth |
| 11 | <a href="https://www.mentimeter.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Mentimeter</strong></a> | Live polls + presentations | 50 participants/month | Adult work meetings |

Searchers usually want one of three things from this list. Free games like Blooket points to Kahoot, Wayground, Gimkit Basic, and LearnClash. Apps like Blooket means LearnClash, Quizlet, and Knowt on iOS or Android. The sites-like-Blooket crowd wants Wayground, Quizalize, and Mission.io in the browser.

Blooket is still strong at one thing: an arcade-style classroom quiz where students chase chests, build towers, and trade Blooks. But people searching for alternatives often want a fix, not a clone. A bigger free room. A less luck-driven scoreboard. A homework version. Or a reason the answer still matters tomorrow. That last job is the one LearnClash was built for.

## How I Ranked These

Four axes: free play, real game mechanics, learning carryover, and how much of the score is knowledge versus luck. The fourth axis came out of a question I kept asking during the May 2026 audit for the first version of this page, and it survived the August re-check unchanged: what should happen to a student who answers 8 questions out of 60?

![Four scoring pillars for games like Blooket: free play, real game mechanics, learning carryover, and the RNG-versus-knowledge axis showing answer-driven scoring on the left and chest-driven scoring on the right](../../../assets/blog/games-like-blooket/games-like-blooket-rng-vs-knowledge.png)
*The audit weighted what happens to the score when a student answers 8 of 60 questions correctly. Blooket's chest mechanics can flip the leaderboard. LearnClash cannot.*

In Blooket's Gold Quest, correct answers earn chest picks, and chests can grant gold, multiply it, or steal a slice of another player's total. For years the mode's signature was the swap chest, which traded your entire total with a random player; the Blooket community wiki logs a late-July 2026 rework that removed the swap, though the steal and multiplier chests remain. That is the mode working as designed; Blooket never hid it. It still means the scoreboard measures knowledge plus luck, in proportions nobody controls.

Here is my bias, stated plainly, and the reason I trust it: when I wrote LearnClash's duel scoring, the entire rule came out as one branch in the server code. If the answer is correct, add 1 point. That is the whole rule. There is a 45-second timer on each question, but no time variable feeds the score, because I never created one; answering in 2 seconds and answering in 40 earn the same point. The one exception is deliberate: an optional Double Down joker can turn a correct answer into 2 points, but it doubles nothing unless the pick is genuinely right. No chest, no swap, no speed bonus. Kahoot reached a similar conclusion from the other direction when it launched Accuracy Mode in May 2025, a free mode that awards exactly 1 point per correct answer with no speed bonus. When the biggest live-quiz platform in the world adds a mode that turns off its own signature mechanic, that tells you where the category is heading.

| Ranking axis | What I looked for | Why LearnClash scored high |
|---|---|---|
| Free play | Can the room play without a paywall? | Daily duels and no ads in any tier |
| Real game loop | Is there a reason to care after the round? | ELO tiers, ranked rematches, 72-hour async turns |
| Learning carryover | Does a missed question return later? | 3-stage SRS in every mode |
| Knowledge vs luck | Can the lower-scoring player win? | No; only correct answers move the score |

Rank the game by what the score is made of. That filter puts LearnClash first, Wayground second, Gimkit third, and Kahoot fourth.

## What Changed in 2026: Blooket and Its Alternatives

The biggest games like Blooket all shipped recent updates, and the pattern is loud: everyone bet on AI content generation, nobody bet on memory. Blooket added Adventure Quest, Quiz Kingdom, Save States, Solo Links, and a Plus Flex monthly tier. Wayground built out an AI curriculum layer. Gimkit and Kahoot deepened their own lanes. Eleven games like Blooket, zero new scheduled-review layers.

![Timeline of 2025-2026 updates across games like Blooket: Blooket's Adventure Quest, Quiz Kingdom, Save States, Solo Links and Plus Flex, Wayground's rebrand and AI curriculum, Gimkit's Creative Platforming, Kahoot's Accuracy Mode](../../../assets/blog/games-like-blooket/games-like-blooket-2026-update-timeline.png)
*Five separate AI bets across the 2026 update wave, zero scheduled-review layers. Two labels on this graphic have aged: Kahoot 360 Spirit now sits behind a sales gate with a 25-license minimum, and Gimkit's Creative Platforming actually dates to March 2024, not this wave.*

| Platform | Recent additions (as catalogued May 2026) | Verified notes, August 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Blooket | Adventure Quest (RPG), Quiz Kingdom (strategy), Save States for Tower Defense 2, Tower of Doom, Cafe, Solo Links | Plus Flex monthly tier at $9.99/mo confirmed live |
| Wayground (Quizizz) | AI Curriculum Hub, Lesson Bundles, VoyageMath middle-school program | Rebranded from Quizizz June 2025; claims 90% of US schools |
| Gimkit | Creative Platforming (March 2024), KitCollab student authoring, Season Ticket rotation | Featured modes free; Pro Exclusive caps at 5 players on Basic |
| Kahoot | Accuracy Mode (free, May 2025), standards-tagging tool for CCSS, NGSS, TEKS and all 50 states (April 2026) | 360 Spirit now sales-gated, 25-license minimum |
| LearnClash | 3-stage SRS retention curve published, ELO matchmaking model published, [the case against 1/3/7/21 schedules](/blog/why-we-threw-out-the-srs-interval) | Duel scoring unchanged: 1 point per correct answer |

The free Khanmigo question generator deserves its own line because it keeps getting misdated, including by the earlier version of this page: Khan Academy and Blooket launched it in January 2025, not 2026. A teacher types a topic, gets an AI-generated set, and exports it to Blooket at no cost. It makes Blooket cheaper to feed than Kahoot's paid AI Generator, and it changes nothing about what happens after the round ends.

<aside class="callout callout--fact">
<strong>The structural gap.</strong> Blooket Gold Quest, Wayground Practice, and Gimkit Trust No One all end the work when the session ends: a missed answer goes nowhere afterward. In LearnClash, a wrong answer enters 3-stage spaced repetition and comes back for a 7-day review. The <a href="/blog/learnclash-srs-retention-curve">LearnClash retention curve</a> shows what that difference compounds into.
</aside>

| Platform | What happens to a missed answer |
|---|---|
| Blooket Gold Quest | Nothing after the session; mode ends at the bell |
| Gimkit Trust No One | Nothing after the session; session-bound |
| Wayground Practice (self-paced) | No cross-day SRS layer |
| LearnClash 3-stage SRS | Rescheduled for a 7-day return, then promoted to a 90-day interval |

One more 2026 data point that says something about scoreboard design. Blooket has fought a running battle with cheat scripts: the original community cheat repository received a cease-and-desist and a GitHub termination, and successor projects kept the auto-answer tools alive into 2026. Those scripts exist because Blooket's scoreboard mixes inputs; the answer is one, but chests, towers, and luck are the others, so gaming the mix pays. A scoreboard that only counts correct answers gives those scripts nothing interesting to attack.

## 1. LearnClash: Best Game Like Blooket for Knowledge That Sticks

<a href="/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>LearnClash</strong></a> is the best game like Blooket for people who want competition to build memory, not just classroom noise. Each duel runs 18 questions across 6 rounds of 3, a 72-hour async turn window, and an ELO ladder that climbs through eight tiers from Iron to Phoenix. The score is the answer, not the chest.

![LearnClash game loop showing 18 questions across 6 rounds, ELO tiers from Iron to Phoenix, 72-hour async turns, and 3-stage SRS where misses return in 7 days and Known questions in 90](../../../assets/blog/games-like-blooket/games-like-blooket-learnclash.png)
*LearnClash turns a Blooket-style quiz impulse into a longer loop: duel, rank, remember.*

Blooket is a classroom arcade. LearnClash is a ranked ladder. That difference sounds small until you look at the loop. Because duels are asynchronous, nobody joins a code on a projector; a typical turn is six questions, the current round plus one you pick, and takes about three minutes, and your opponent has 72 hours to answer back. New players start at 1300, which is Gold II, the middle of the ladder, and climb or fall from there.

Meanwhile every miss is quietly doing something. A wrong answer enters the 3-stage spaced repetition cycle: it starts as Learning and comes back in 7 days, a correct answer promotes it to Known with a 90-day return, and one more right answer makes it Mastered for good. Miss it again later and it drops one stage rather than resetting to zero. Three rematches on a topic produce 54 retrieval attempts without either player building a question set. The [LearnClash statistics page](/blog/learnclash-statistics) publishes the production numbers behind that loop, and the [ELO system explainer](/blog/elo-rating-system) covers how the rating actually moves.

| Feature | Blooket | LearnClash |
|---|---|---|
| Main format | Host-led classroom modes | Async 1v1 quiz duel |
| Question setup | Host builds, imports, or generates via Khanmigo | Pick any topic, no set building |
| Score meaning | Mode-dependent, often luck-weighted | ELO ladder, Iron to Phoenix |
| Memory loop | None across days | 3-stage spaced repetition in every mode |
| Random chest swings | Yes in Gold Quest, Cafe, Crypto Hack | None |
| Ads | None | None in any tier |
| Best audience | Live classroom rooms | Curious adults, friends, self-directed learners |

LearnClash is less useful if you need 30 students staring at the same projector. Use Blooket or Kahoot for that. But if the real job is "make this topic stick," the duel that schedules its own follow-up is the stronger game.

## 2. Wayground, Formerly Quizizz: Best Self-Paced Game Like Blooket

<a href="https://wayground.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Wayground</strong></a> is the best self-paced game like Blooket for homework, differentiated practice, and teacher reporting. Quizizz rebranded to Wayground in June 2025, pivoting from quiz tool into a full AI-supplemental learning platform.

The rebrand was not just a logo. <a href="https://wayground.com/home/from-quizizz-to-wayground" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Wayground's announcement</a> describes a broader platform: quizzes, lessons, passages, flashcards, interactive videos, accommodations, reports, LMS sync, and Paper Mode for rooms without devices. Its homepage claims teachers in 90% of US schools and more than 150 countries, a figure I re-checked on wayground.com in August 2026. The 2025-26 update wave added the AI Curriculum Hub, Lesson Bundles that combine activities into a planned sequence, and the VoyageMath middle-school program.

![Wayground infographic showing live quiz, homework session, paper mode, AI curriculum, 90 percent of US schools coverage, and 18-plus question types](../../../assets/blog/games-like-blooket/games-like-blooket-wayground.png)
*Wayground is less about replacing Blooket's arcade feel and more about giving teachers a full self-paced and reporting system.*

Where Wayground beats Blooket is pacing. Live mode exists, but student-paced work and homework are the real reason it belongs at #2. The class needs to practice Tuesday's concept before Friday's test, and Wayground beats another chest-spinning round on that job.

| Use case | Wayground | LearnClash |
|---|---|---|
| Homework assignment | Strong | Practice mode, not LMS workflow |
| Differentiation | Adaptive timers and read-aloud | Difficulty through topic and ELO |
| Reports | Teacher-facing | Learner-facing stats |
| Random chest mechanics | None | None |

The split is simple: Wayground is a teacher system, LearnClash is a learner game. Grades, accommodations, and LMS sync point one way; a person coming back tomorrow because their rank is on the line points the other.

## 3. Gimkit: Best Strategy Game Like Blooket

<a href="https://www.gimkit.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Gimkit</strong></a> makes correct answers into currency, upgrades, and tactical choices. Answer well, earn cash, buy multipliers, snowball, get greedy, lose ground. For older students who groan at another collectible chase, that economy loop changes the feel fast, and there is real game tension in it instead of a chest roll.

![Gimkit strategy economy infographic showing quiz answers becoming GimBucks, upgrades, multipliers, KitCollab student-built questions, and Pro Exclusive mode 5-player cap on Basic accounts](../../../assets/blog/games-like-blooket/games-like-blooket-gimkit.png)
*Gimkit's best trick is making the answer feed an economy. The answer earns something, then the player spends it.*

Gimkit's recent wave deepened the same arcade lane. Creative Platforming, live since March 2024, lets teachers and students build platformer maps inside the 2D Creative editor. KitCollab still lets students submit questions during a live game, and the Season Ticket rotation refreshes Pro-only modes every few weeks. More game shapes, same memory ceiling: misses repeat within the session, then the bell erases them.

The free story has a wrinkle worth knowing before you plan a lesson around it. <a href="https://help.gimkit.com/en/article/gimkit-pro-faq-14h6d62/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Gimkit's Pro FAQ</a> says Basic accounts can play featured modes with as many students as needed, but only a rotating set of free modes is live at a time, generally three, and <a href="https://help.gimkit.com/en/article/player-maximums-18mbcz0/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">the player-maximums page</a> caps Pro Exclusive modes at 5 players for Basic members (both re-checked August 4, 2026). Gimkit can be free; the exact mode you want may not be.

| Feature | Gimkit | LearnClash |
|---|---|---|
| Game feel | Strategy economy and 2D modes | Ranked duel ladder |
| Free access | Featured modes free, Pro Exclusive 5-player cap | Daily duels free, no ads |
| Long-term memory | Repeats misses within the session only | 3-stage SRS across days |
| Best use | Class period energy | Daily learning habit |

That does not make Gimkit weak, it makes it specific: Gimkit shines when the game itself has to carry a room for 15 minutes. For the side-by-side set, see [Blooket vs Gimkit](/blog/blooket-vs-gimkit), the [Kahoot vs Blooket vs Gimkit three-way](/blog/kahoot-vs-blooket-vs-gimkit), or the [games like Gimkit ranking](/blog/games-like-gimkit) when the search starts from Gimkit instead of Blooket.

## 4. Kahoot: Best Live-Show Game Like Blooket

<a href="https://kahoot.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Kahoot</strong></a> owns the host-led quiz format, and it owns the strongest research base in this category. A <a href="https://research.gold.ac.uk/id/eprint/39435/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">2020 review in <em>Computers & Education</em></a> covering 93 studies found learning benefits overall while flagging time stress, guessing, and the difficulty of catching up after a wrong answer. Accuracy Mode, free since May 2025, answers that critique directly: no speed bonus, 1 point per correct answer, and an unlimited-time accessibility option. For vocabulary, dates, and anything where correctness beats reflex, it is a real upgrade.

![Kahoot Accuracy Mode infographic showing the speed timer turned off, accurate answers ranked first, and the 10-player personal free tier compared with Blooket's 60-player free cap](../../../assets/blog/games-like-blooket/games-like-blooket-kahoot.png)
*Kahoot's Accuracy Mode removes the speed-click pressure. The 10-player personal free cap is still the deal breaker for full-class rooms.*

<aside class="callout callout--warning">
<strong>The deal breaker is the free cap.</strong> Kahoot's free personal plan caps live sessions at 10 players; the free teacher plan raises that to 40, and a typical classroom has 25 to 35 students. That cap, more than anything else, is what sends teachers searching for games like Blooket in the first place.
</aside>

Paid Kahoot goes higher: study plans start at $3 per month billed annually, EDU Pro reaches 2,000 live participants, and Kahoot! One Ultra reaches 4,000 (Kahoot's help-center ladder as of its July 2026 update, cross-checked against current pricing guides on August 4, 2026). At the top sits Kahoot 360 Spirit, which published at $20 per license per month with a 25-license minimum; as of August 2026, its pricing is quoted through sales rather than listed publicly. April 2026 also brought a standards-tagging tool covering CCSS, NGSS, ISTE, and state frameworks like TEKS across all 50 states.

| Feature | Kahoot | Blooket | LearnClash |
|---|---|---|---|
| Format | Host-led live quiz | Classroom arcade modes | Async 1v1 duels |
| Free player cap | 10 personal / 40 school | 60 | Daily duels |
| Recent upgrade | Accuracy Mode, standards tagging | Save States, Solo Links | Published SRS retention curve |
| Research base | 93-study peer-reviewed record | Few published studies | Built on retrieval and spacing |
| Random chest mechanics | None | Yes in Gold Quest | None |

Kahoot remains the right pick for conference rooms, training events, and parent nights where a host carries the show. The deeper round-up lives in the [Kahoot alternatives ranking](/blog/kahoot-alternatives) and the [Kahoot vs Blooket head-to-head](/blog/kahoot-vs-blooket).

## 5. Quizalize and Mission.io: Best Curriculum Games Like Blooket

<a href="https://www.quizalize.com/en-us" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Quizalize</strong></a> and <a href="https://mission.io/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Mission.io</strong></a> earn their slots when teachers need evidence the activity tied back to standards.

Quizalize has the most interesting curriculum pitch. Its <a href="https://www.quizalize.com/en-us" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">official site</a> frames the product around mastery by standard, auto-differentiation, LMS integration, and browser team games like *Blockerzz* and *Goalzz*. The free plan is tighter than Blooket's: 20 students per class, 1 class, 5 saved quizzes (its pricing page, same-day re-check). That trade can still be worth it for teachers who must defend the activity as more than Friday fun.

![Quizalize and Mission.io infographic showing browser games like Blockerzz and Goalzz tied to standards-based progress bars beside Mission.io ESSA Level IV evidence and immersive STEM story missions](../../../assets/blog/games-like-blooket/games-like-blooket-quizalize-mission.png)
*Quizalize ties games to standards. Mission.io ties standards to a story. Both answer the "but is it learning?" question that Blooket leaves open. One label here has since improved: Mission.io's ESSA evidence moved up from Level IV to Level II in June 2026.*

Mission.io takes a different swing. Its <a href="https://mission.io/evidence" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">evidence page</a> now leads with ESSA Level II (Moderate Evidence) status, validated by Instructure in June 2026 on top of the 2024 Level IV rationale review, and the product wraps standards into immersive STEM missions the whole class runs together: face a problem, investigate clues, act. Less arcade, more field trip with a standards trail.

| Feature | Quizalize | Mission.io | LearnClash |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free class size | 20 students | Trial-based | Daily duels |
| Game style | Browser arcade with dashboard | Story-driven STEM missions | Ranked 1v1 quiz duel |
| Standards alignment | Strong | Strong, ESSA Level II validated | Topic-driven, learner-first |
| Best fit | Mastery teachers | Whole-class STEM | Self-directed learners |

The downside on both is setup. Quizalize wants standards tagged; Mission.io wants a mission window planned. Solid school infrastructure, and exactly the wrong shape for a curious adult who just wants a knowledge duel tonight.

## 6. Wordwall and Baamboozle: Best Low-Prep Games Like Blooket

Baamboozle's killer feature is not an algorithm. <a href="https://www.baamboozle.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Baamboozle</strong></a> lets the whole class play from one screen, no student devices needed. For younger classrooms, unreliable school Wi-Fi, ESL groups, or any room where half the tablets are dead, that is the entire decision.

<a href="https://wordwall.net/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Wordwall</strong></a> is the opposite: a template machine. Build one activity and flip it between formats like *Quiz*, *Crossword*, *Maze Chase*, *Airplane*, and *Whack-a-mole*. The free Basic tier covers 3 activities on 12 standard templates, and Pro adds 22 more for 34 interactive templates in all, most of which also come in printable versions (pricing page, checked for this update). The one-click conversion between templates is the part teachers actually keep using.

![Baamboozle and Wordwall infographic showing one-screen team play, no student devices needed, 3 million teacher-made games, and 34 interactive Wordwall templates](../../../assets/blog/games-like-blooket/games-like-blooket-wordwall-baamboozle.png)
*Baamboozle solves the no-device room. Wordwall solves the "I need a different game shape in two minutes" problem.*

| Need | Better pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| No student devices | Baamboozle | One-screen team play |
| Many game templates | Wordwall | 34 interactive templates, most printable |
| Long-term memory | LearnClash | SRS and ELO |
| Full-class arcade | Blooket | Higher game energy with chests |

Neither is a memory system, and neither pretends to be. They earn their places because real classrooms run into boring constraints: no devices, no prep time, five minutes left in the period.

## 7. Apps and Sites Like Blooket: Mobile and Browser Picks

LearnClash and Knowt are the strongest apps like Blooket on iOS and Android; Sporcle and JetPunk win the no-login browser lane. Most lists in this category assume a classroom, where Blooket's 60-player free host cap is the number that matters. On a phone or in a solo browser tab, that cap is irrelevant, and the jobs change.

For phones, LearnClash is the only app on this list that ships native quiz duels with ELO and spaced repetition, on iOS and Android, with zero ads in any tier. <a href="https://knowt.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Knowt</strong></a> is the closest free Quizlet substitute for AI flashcards and practice tests. <a href="https://quizlet.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Quizlet</strong></a> remains the household name for flashcards with a strong Learn mode.

For browsers without a class code, <a href="https://www.sporcle.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>Sporcle</strong></a> and <a href="https://www.jetpunk.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><strong>JetPunk</strong></a> deliver category-list quizzes that feel a lot like Blooket's solo modes without any teacher signup. Wayground and Quizalize cover the more academic sites-like-Blooket lane.

![Mobile and browser picks like Blooket showing LearnClash native iOS and Android, Knowt AI flashcards, Quizlet Learn mode, and browser-based Wayground, Sporcle, and JetPunk](../../../assets/blog/games-like-blooket/games-like-blooket-mobile-sites.png)
*The "apps like Blooket" and "websites like Blooket" searches split into three jobs: ranked learning, flashcard depth, and browser-only quizzing.*

| Searcher intent | Best pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Apps like Blooket on iOS or Android | LearnClash | Native ranked duels, SRS, no ads |
| Free flashcard app like Blooket | Knowt | AI flashcards, free practice tests |
| Sites like Blooket without a teacher | Sporcle, JetPunk | Browser-only, no class codes |
| Self-paced website like Blooket | Wayground | Self-paced quizzes, AI curriculum |

## Where That Leaves the 8-of-60 Student

The short version, by job:

| The job | Strongest pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Knowledge that sticks past the chest | **LearnClash** | ELO and 3-stage spaced repetition |
| Self-paced homework | Wayground | Student-paced sessions and AI curriculum |
| Strategy economy | Gimkit | Currency, upgrades, KitCollab, Creative |
| Live host show | Kahoot | Accuracy Mode and proven research |
| Mastery dashboards | Quizalize | Standards and follow-up resources |
| Whole-class STEM story | Mission.io | ESSA Level II evidence |
| No student devices | Baamboozle | One-screen team play |
| Activity templates | Wordwall | Fast format switching |
| Mobile flashcards | Knowt or Quizlet | Free AI cards or Learn mode |
| Browser-only quiz | Sporcle or JetPunk | No login required |
| Adult presentation polls | Mentimeter | Better in work meetings |

Now follow the student from the opening paragraph through four of these. In Gold Quest, they answered 8 of 60, drew three lucky chests, and won; the room cheered, and nothing was scheduled. In Gimkit, they went bankrupt buying multipliers and at least learned some economics. In Kahoot's Accuracy Mode, their 8 correct answers earned exactly 8 points, which is honest, and then the session ended and took the record with it.

In LearnClash, those 52 misses are not a verdict, they are a queue. Each one comes back next week, gets promoted when it lands, and drops a single stage when it does not. The rank on the ladder says what you know today; the review queue quietly works on what you will know next week. The chest was never the point. The point was getting someone to care about the answer twice.
