Most trivia apps are better at filling time than building knowledge.

The best trivia apps in 2026 are LearnClash, Trivia Crack, QuizDuel, Trivia Star, Kahoot, Wayground, Sporcle, Quizlet, SongPop Party, Jeopardy World Tour, and Erudite. LearnClash ranks first for players who want competitive 1v1 duels, any-topic questions, ELO ranking, spaced repetition, and no ads.

This refresh weighs each app on use case, free-tier friction, multiplayer depth, learning value, and what its official store listing actually said when I re-checked it in late July 2026. Want to test the winner before reading eleven entries? [Pick any topic and play your first duel](/start#utm_source=blog&utm_medium=intro_text&utm_campaign=best_trivia_apps).

Quick verdict: Choose LearnClash for competitive learning. Pick Trivia Crack for the biggest casual community. Use QuizDuel for fast async matches, Kahoot or Wayground for hosted groups, Trivia Star for offline solo play, and Quizlet for flashcard study.

## Quick Comparison: The Best Trivia Apps in 2026

LearnClash is the best overall trivia app here because it wins on five things at once: friend duels, free play, no ads, skill ranking, and long-term memory. Every other app on the list owns a narrower job, so pick by use case. Solo play, live groups, and study-first quizzes each point to a different winner.

| Rank | App | Best for | Free tier | Ads | Learning depth |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | [LearnClash](#1-learnclash-best-overall-trivia-app-for-competitive-learning) | Competitive learning | Daily duels, all topics, ELO, 1 SRS session/day | None | SRS in every mode |
| 2 | [Trivia Crack](#2-trivia-crack-best-for-the-largest-casual-trivia-community) | Casual social trivia | Large player pool and classic wheel | Yes | Low |
| 3 | [QuizDuel](#3-quizduel-best-for-quick-1v1-trivia-matches) | Fast 1v1 matches | Async duels and events | Yes | Low |
| 4 | [Trivia Star](#4-trivia-star-best-offline-solo-trivia-app) | Offline solo trivia | 60+ categories, 1,000+ levels | Yes | Medium |
| 5 | [Kahoot](#5-kahoot-best-live-trivia-app-for-groups) | Live groups and classrooms | Low participant caps vary by plan | No traditional ads | Medium |
| 6 | [Wayground](#6-wayground-best-quiz-app-for-classroom-practice) | Teacher-led practice | Basic plan, limited storage | No traditional ads | Medium |
| 7 | [Sporcle](#7-sporcle-best-online-trivia-library) | Massive online quiz library | Free web and app access | Yes | Medium |
| 8 | [Quizlet](#8-quizlet-best-quiz-app-for-studying) | Flashcards and exams | Flashcards and practice tools | Yes | High for study |
| 9 | [SongPop Party](#9-songpop-party-best-music-trivia-app) | Music trivia | Apple Arcade / platform-dependent | No standard ad feed on Arcade | Low |
| 10 | [Jeopardy World Tour](#10-jeopardy-world-tour-best-tv-format-trivia-app) | Jeopardy format | Official game show mode | Yes | Low |
| 11 | [Erudite](#11-erudite-best-calm-brain-training-trivia-app) | Low-pressure brain training | Daily question games | Yes | Medium |

A trivia app, in the sense this guide uses, is a mobile quiz game built on ready-made or generated questions you answer for points, rank, or bragging rights. That covers competitive duel apps like LearnClash and QuizDuel, live party hosts like Kahoot, and solo level-map games like Trivia Star. Study tools such as Quizlet sit at the edge of the category: quiz mechanics, but built for exam prep rather than play.

The eleven ranked apps span that whole range, from LearnClash's 18-question duels to Sporcle's library of over 1 million quizzes.

## How We Tested These Trivia Apps

I build LearnClash, so let me say that up front: my own app is in this ranking, and I have an obvious interest in where it lands. That is exactly why the method is boring. Every app gets the same fixed criteria, and every number on this page traces to an official store listing, support page, or vendor page with a date attached.

That disclosure matters more in 2026 than it used to. Some of the trivia roundups AI assistants now quote are published by trivia apps, and they rank the publisher's own app first. This page carries the same conflict, so the answer has to be method rather than claimed neutrality: fixed public criteria, dated store checks for every entry, and named tradeoffs on LearnClash's entry too. The community size gap you will read about below is real, and it stays in the text.

| Criterion | Weight | What we checked |
|---|---:|---|
| Topic variety | 20% | Fixed categories, user-created sets, or any-topic creation |
| Multiplayer depth | 15% | Async 1v1, live groups, tournaments, friend links |
| Ranking and progression | 15% | ELO, leagues, leaderboards, XP, or one-off scores |
| Learning value | 15% | Retrieval practice, spaced repetition, feedback, review flow |
| Free-tier friction | 15% | Ads, caps, paywalls, offline access |
| Store and source signals | 20% | Official downloads, reviews, pricing, support docs |

The checking is real work, not a footer date. My audit sheet tracks 129 claims across 13 apps: download counts, review counts, pricing, plan caps, and feature lists. I re-pulled every listing on June 9, again on July 5, and again on July 27, 2026, covering both app stores, vendor stat pages, Kahoot's help center, Wayground's pricing page, and LearnClash's own product constants. Trivia Crack additionally got a deeper standalone audit on July 22 for the head-to-head page.

Here is what surprised me. Between July 5 and July 27, exactly two of those 129 claims moved: Erudite's Play review count ticked from 182K to 183K, and Kahoot refreshed its participant-limit help page. Store numbers at this scale drift far slower than the constant-update meme suggests, which is why a dated check beats a vague "updated for 2026" badge.

Store audit, July 27, 2026: Trivia Star showed 10M+ Google Play downloads and 397K reviews. Word Cloud Trivia still showed only 100+ Google Play downloads, so it stays on the watchlist.

This is a buyer's guide, not a lab report. I rewarded a clear job done well over a long feature list nobody uses, because a classroom host and two friends dueling on movie trivia are shopping for completely different products.

## Best Competitive Trivia Apps for Friends

LearnClash is the strongest trivia app for friends who want stakes instead of a scorecard you forget by morning. The async 1v1 duel hands each player 18 questions across 6 rounds, and ELO stitches your rematches into a real ladder. If a giant player pool matters more than stakes, Trivia Crack and QuizDuel pull ahead there.

![Trivia Crack, QuizDuel, and Erudite store-signal cards compared on player base, multiplayer type, and region focus](../../../assets/blog/best-trivia-apps/best-trivia-apps-social.png)
*Store-signal snapshot cards for Trivia Crack, QuizDuel, and Erudite, three of the async-play picks in this ranking.*

| App | Friend-play format | Best strength | Main tradeoff |
|---|---|---|---|
| LearnClash | Async 1v1 duels, 72-hour turns | ELO and SRS make rematches meaningful | Smaller community than legacy apps |
| Trivia Crack | Async social games and global community | Huge player pool and familiar wheel | Ads and uneven user-submitted questions |
| QuizDuel | Async 1v1 matches, leagues, events | Mature European quiz community | Fixed categories, no spaced repetition |

### 1. LearnClash: Best Overall Trivia App for Competitive Learning

LearnClash is built around 1v1 learning duels on iOS and Android. Each standard LearnClash duel has 18 questions split into 6 rounds, with a 45-second timer per question. One turn covers 6 questions in about 3 minutes, and each player gets a 72-hour window to take it, so a match survives time zones and busy weeks.

| At a glance | Details |
|---|---|
| Best for | Competitive friends who want any-topic duels |
| Standout | 18 questions, ELO, SRS, no ads |
| Watch out | Smaller community than legacy trivia apps |

Try LearnClash on your phone

The ranking is what makes rematches matter. New LearnClash players start at ELO 1300, which is Gold II and the ladder average, and the public ladder climbs from Iron to Phoenix, with Phoenix opening at 2400+. Every result moves your rating in one direction or the other. A casual score screen resets; a rating remembers.

Memory is the other half. Every question you face in a LearnClash duel or practice session can enter a 3-stage spaced repetition system: Learning, Known, and Mastered. Learning questions come back after 7 days, Known questions wait 90 days, and a miss drops the question one stage.

The 7-day and 90-day intervals were my call as the founder, not a library default: short enough to catch a fact before it fades, long enough that reviews never swallow the fun. Three duels put 54 retrieval attempts in front of you.

For more depth, read the [LearnClash ELO system guide](/blog/elo-rating-system), the [spaced repetition breakdown](/blog/spaced-repetition), and the full [LearnClash statistics page](/blog/learnclash-statistics).

### 2. Trivia Crack: Best for the Largest Casual Trivia Community

Trivia Crack is still the default casual trivia app for millions of people. Across LearnClash's July 2026 store checks, Trivia Crack's Google Play listing held at 100M+ downloads and 7.88M reviews, and its US App Store listing showed 746K ratings.

| At a glance | Details |
|---|---|
| Best for | The biggest casual friend network |
| Standout | 100M+ Google Play downloads and a familiar category wheel |
| Watch out | Ads, in-app purchases, and uneven user-submitted questions |

Anyone can pick up the classic six-category wheel in seconds. Spin, answer, collect characters, beat a friend or a stranger. Newer listings push creator tools and extra game modes too, but that old wheel is still why people recognize the brand at all.

Friction is the tradeoff, and it is documented rather than rumored. Both official listings disclose ads and in-app purchases, and Marlvel's May 2026 report on the free app records ads showing after every question or turn. If your friends already play Trivia Crack, it stays the low-effort pick. If you want the same async habit without ads, and with missed questions that come back, LearnClash is the cleaner route.

The full [LearnClash vs Trivia Crack comparison](/blog/learnclash-vs-trivia-crack) covers the switch-or-stay call in detail.

### 3. QuizDuel: Best for Quick 1v1 Trivia Matches

QuizDuel remains the legacy 1v1 quiz app to beat for fast async matches, especially in Europe. MAG Interactive's official QuizDuel page still listed 100M+ downloads since 2012, 400K+ questions, 38M global QuizDuel friendships, and 12 localized languages when LearnClash re-checked it on July 27, 2026.

| At a glance | Details |
|---|---|
| Best for | Fast async 1v1 matches, especially in Europe |
| Standout | 400K+ questions, leagues, events, 12 localized languages |
| Watch out | Fixed categories and no spaced repetition |

QuizDuel packs in more modes than most quiz apps: leagues, Quinder, solo quests, rotating events. On sheer mode variety it beats LearnClash today, and that is worth saying plainly. The limits sit elsewhere. Questions live inside fixed categories, and progression leans on points and leagues rather than a skill-calibrated rating.

So the choice between the two is clean. QuizDuel offers an established quiz community and a steady drip of events inside fixed categories. LearnClash lets a friend group duel on any topic they can name, climb an ELO ladder from Iron to Phoenix, and see missed questions again through spaced repetition. Pick by whether your group wants events or stakes.

The detailed head-to-head is in [LearnClash vs QuizDuel](/blog/learnclash-vs-quizduel). Coming from the shuttered QuizUp? [LearnClash vs QuizUp](/blog/learnclash-vs-quizup) covers that succession.

## Best Solo Trivia Apps for Offline Play

Offline solo trivia is its own lane. Nobody schedules a friend for a flight, a commute, or a waiting room, and the quiz apps people open for fun in those moments need level maps, short sessions, and questions that work without a connection. Trivia Star, Jeopardy World Tour, Millionaire, and Erudite serve that job best, and they charge for it in ads rather than dollars.

![Jeopardy, SongPop, Millionaire, and Word Cloud Trivia cards grouped by entertainment format](../../../assets/blog/best-trivia-apps/best-trivia-apps-entertainment.png)
*Jeopardy World Tour, SongPop, Millionaire, and Word Cloud Trivia grouped by the entertainment format each one leans on.*

| App | Solo format | Best strength | Main tradeoff |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trivia Star | Offline category levels | 10M+ downloads, huge review base | Ads and hint economy |
| Jeopardy World Tour | Official TV game format | Familiar clues, Daily Double, tournaments | Power-ups and ads |
| Millionaire | Money ladder and lifelines | Classic TV tension | Progression leans on boosts |
| Erudite | Calm daily brain training | Relaxed, no-pressure quiz flow | Ads and lighter competition |

### 4. Trivia Star: Best Offline Solo Trivia App

Trivia Star earns its top-five spot on store signals alone. The Google Play listing LearnClash pulled on July 27, 2026 showed 10M+ downloads, 397K reviews, 60+ categories, 1,000+ levels, and 10,000+ questions, with offline or online play.

| At a glance | Details |
|---|---|
| Best for | Offline solo trivia sessions |
| Standout | 10M+ downloads, 60+ categories, 1,000+ levels |
| Watch out | Coins, hints, and ads can shape the pace |

That mix lands with commuters, travelers, and anyone who wants a quiz without scheduling a friend first. Questions open easy and ramp slowly, while coins and hints run the economy. That setup is standard for solo mobile games, and a turnoff only if what you actually want is knowledge competition.

Trivia Star took this slot from Word Cloud Trivia in the July 2026 revision of this guide, because the store-footprint gap between 10M+ and 100+ downloads was too large to ignore.

### 9. SongPop Party: Best Music Trivia App

SongPop Party is the one to install when quiz night turns into music night. Its App Store listing showed 60K ratings in LearnClash's July 27, 2026 check, with local and online party modes, Arena mode, controller support, and a catalog built around genres, artists, decades, and music topics.

| At a glance | Details |
|---|---|
| Best for | Music fans and party rounds |
| Standout | Song clips, genres, artists, decades, local and online party modes |
| Watch out | Music-only scope makes it a specialist pick |

Don't expect general knowledge here. Name-that-song trivia plays nothing like text questions, and the narrow scope is the whole point. SongPop Party ranks lower on this list because it is a specialist, not because it does its one job badly.

### 10. Jeopardy World Tour: Best TV-Format Trivia App

Jeopardy World Tour delivers the official Jeopardy feel on a phone. Uken's game page describes thousands of clues, world-tour progression, tournaments, power-ups, and leaderboards, and in LearnClash's July 27, 2026 store check the Google Play listing showed 5M+ downloads and 169K reviews, with ads and in-app purchases disclosed.

| At a glance | Details |
|---|---|
| Best for | Official TV quiz pacing |
| Standout | Clues, Daily Double feel, tournaments, world-tour progression |
| Watch out | Power-ups, ads, and less topic control |

Both stores now title the listing Jeopardy! Trivia TV Game Show, with the World Tour name living on inside the game itself. An offline mode rounds it out, which is what lets it go toe-to-toe with Trivia Star for solo sessions.

It is entertainment first, though. When you want missed questions to come back instead of vanish, that is LearnClash's job, and the [LearnClash vs Jeopardy](/blog/learnclash-vs-jeopardy) head-to-head walks through exactly that difference.

### Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: Best Money-Ladder Trivia App

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire still works because the money ladder is still tense. Uken's official page highlights cities, experts, lifelines, offline play, and global leaderboards, and LearnClash's July 27, 2026 re-check put the Google Play listing at 10M+ downloads and 249K reviews, with ads and in-app purchases disclosed.

| At a glance | Details |
|---|---|
| Best for | Money-ladder tension and lifeline fans |
| Standout | Offline play, cities, experts, global leaderboards |
| Watch out | TV format matters more than broad learning structure |

That is a bigger Android footprint than most modern trivia startups can claim. The trade: lifelines and boosts shape progression, topic control is thin, and there is no lasting friend rivalry to speak of.

### 11. Erudite: Best Calm Brain-Training Trivia App

Erudite is the calmest trivia app in the ranking. Google Play was showing 5M+ downloads and 183K reviews when LearnClash ran its July 27, 2026 pass, with ads and in-app purchases disclosed, and daily question games across history, math, geography, science, linguistics, and music.

| At a glance | Details |
|---|---|
| Best for | Calm daily brain training |
| Standout | Daily question sets across history, math, science, language, and music |
| Watch out | Less multiplayer depth and lighter competition |

The whole design tilts toward low-pressure brain training rather than competition. Perfect for a short break. Less useful if you want deep multiplayer, structured spaced repetition, or a rating that tells you whether you are actually improving.

Word Cloud Trivia stays on the watchlist. The official site runs a clever visual daily challenge with two puzzles a day, but on July 27, 2026 the Google Play listing still read just 100+ downloads, and the App Store version history showed nothing newer than version 1.0.2 from mid-May. Too early to seat it among the best trivia apps.

## Best Group Trivia Apps for Teams and Classrooms

Group trivia is a hosting problem before it is a question problem. One person needs to run the room, everyone else needs to join in seconds, and the scoreboard has to live on a shared screen. Kahoot and Wayground, the two dedicated live trivia platforms here, own that job. Sporcle is the other answer, a giant ready-made quiz library for groups that would rather browse than build.

![Kahoot, Wayground under its former Quizizz branding, and Quizlet compared on group size, pacing, and classroom fit](../../../assets/blog/best-trivia-apps/best-trivia-apps-education.png)
*Kahoot, Wayground (shown under its former Quizizz name), and Quizlet compared on group size, pacing, and classroom fit.*

| App | Group fit | Best strength | Main tradeoff |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kahoot | Live classroom, party, work event | Fast shared-screen energy | Low free caps and many plan variants |
| Wayground | Teacher-led practice and assessments | Live and async classroom delivery | Built for schools, not casual friend duels |
| Sporcle | Online quiz library and casual groups | Huge topic coverage | Interface can feel noisy |

### 5. Kahoot: Best Live Trivia App for Groups

Kahoot turns a room, classroom, or video call into a live quiz show: shared screen, phone answers, music, and a leaderboard after each question. When one person hosts and everyone else joins, it is still the pick.

| At a glance | Details |
|---|---|
| Best for | Live hosted groups, classrooms, and events |
| Standout | Shared-screen play, phone answers, fast leaderboard energy |
| Watch out | Participant limits vary by plan and account type |

Check the participant caps before the invite goes out. Kahoot's own participant-limit help page, updated in July 2026 and re-checked by LearnClash on July 27, ties the limits to account type and plan: the free personal Go plan caps live sessions at 10 participants, while paid tiers scale as high as 4,000.

Where Kahoot falls short is long-term 1v1 learning. Scores reset every session, and the whole format runs through a host. Great for a classroom or a team event, not for two friends who want a rivalry that runs for months.

Read [LearnClash vs Kahoot](/blog/learnclash-vs-kahoot) or the broader [Kahoot alternatives guide](/blog/kahoot-alternatives) if your group has outgrown the caps. For the two classroom rivals teachers weigh most, see [Kahoot vs Blooket](/blog/kahoot-vs-blooket) and [Kahoot vs Gimkit](/blog/kahoot-vs-gimkit).

### 6. Wayground: Best Quiz App for Classroom Practice

Wayground, formerly Quizizz, beats Kahoot for teachers who want self-paced practice, assignments, and reporting. Its public plans page highlights live and student-paced modes, gamification features, presentations, flashcards, passages, and school or district controls.

| At a glance | Details |
|---|---|
| Best for | Teachers assigning practice and assessments |
| Standout | Live and self-paced modes, reports, lessons, flashcards, passages |
| Watch out | School-first workflow can feel too formal for casual friends |

The free Basic plan does the job, with strings attached. The pricing page LearnClash re-checked on July 27, 2026 still limits individual teachers to 20 stored resources on Basic, while school and district plans open up broader question types, standards features, data tools, and integrations.

To a casual trivia player, Wayground feels classroom-shaped. To a teacher, that is exactly the appeal. The controls exist because the person using them is assigning, reviewing, and reshaping lessons, not chasing a Friday-night rematch.

For adjacent picks, compare [LearnClash vs Quizizz](/blog/learnclash-vs-quizizz), [Kahoot vs Quizlet](/blog/kahoot-vs-quizlet), and [games like Kahoot](/blog/kahoot-alternatives).

### 7. Sporcle: Best Online Trivia Library

Sporcle has the largest ready-made quiz shelf in this ranking. Its Google Play listing claimed over 1 million quizzes and more than 5 billion quiz plays when LearnClash checked it on July 27, 2026, spread across hundreds of categories and many quiz formats.

| At a glance | Details |
|---|---|
| Best for | Huge ready-made quiz browsing |
| Standout | 1M+ quizzes, 5B+ plays, many formats |
| Watch out | Discovery can feel noisy and less guided |

Sporcle nails the give-me-a-quiz-right-now itch. It is the deepest well of online trivia games in this ranking: geography, sports trivia by league and era, movies, music, history, word puzzles, all a few taps away, on top of community features, badges, playlists, and real-time play.

Focus is what it gives up. Discovery turns messy at that scale, and the experience feels closer to a quiz website than a guided app. Treat Sporcle as the group's library card, and keep a dedicated app for the actual rivalry.

## Best Quiz Apps for Studying and Memory

LearnClash is the strongest learning pick among trivia apps for one structural reason: every duel is retrieval practice, and every miss can resurface through spaced repetition instead of vanishing with the match. Quizlet is the strongest study-first pick, built to turn flashcards, notes, and class material into practice. One leads with play, the other with school.

![LearnClash feature panel showing any-topic search, the 8-tier ELO ladder, three-stage spaced repetition, and zero ads](../../../assets/blog/best-trivia-apps/best-trivia-apps-learnclash.png)
*The four pillars behind LearnClash's learning claim: any-topic duels, the ELO ladder, 3-stage spaced repetition, and zero ads.*

| App | Study model | Best strength | Main tradeoff |
|---|---|---|---|
| LearnClash | Retrieval practice inside duels and practice | SRS applies to every mode | Less suited for importing class notes |
| Quizlet | Flashcards, tests, notes, adaptive practice | Best exam-prep workflow | Not a trivia-first game |
| Wayground | Teacher-created practice and reports | Strong classroom loop | Less useful for self-directed trivia |

### 8. Quizlet: Best Quiz App for Studying

Quizlet is the study platform of this list, and the scale shows: its App Store listing displayed 1.1M ratings in LearnClash's July 27, 2026 check. The listing describes flashcards, practice questions, personalized tests, offline deck saving, homework help, and study material creation.

| At a glance | Details |
|---|---|
| Best for | Students with notes, decks, and exam terms |
| Standout | Flashcards, practice tests, offline decks, material creation |
| Watch out | Study-first workflow, not a trivia-first game |

Quizlet is not trying to be a trivia game, and that distinction decides the recommendation. Exam next week and notes in hand? Quizlet belongs near the top of your shortlist, and the [Quizlet alternatives ranking](/blog/quizlet-alternatives) lists study-first swaps if its paywalled modes grate. Shopping for competitive play instead? That is LearnClash's territory.

The memory mechanics differ more than the marketing suggests. LearnClash turns every duel into active recall and schedules missed questions back after 7 and 90 days through its 3-stage SRS. Quizlet hands you stronger control over your own material, but its game loop was never built around 1v1 stakes. A study tool and a trivia game solve different problems, even when both show four answer buttons.

The science: retrieval practice has strong evidence behind it, including the Roediger and Karpicke testing-effect study. For how LearnClash applies it, read how spaced repetition works, the SRS retention curve, and the testing effect guide.

## Free, Paid, and Ad-Free Trivia Apps Compared

Free is the default price in this market; attention is the real invoice. Every app below installs for nothing, and each official listing says exactly how the maker earns that back. LearnClash's answer is unusual for the category: no ads on any tier, with free daily duels, all topics, ELO ranking, and one spaced-repetition session a day included. The exact free-vs-Premium split is on the [LearnClash pricing page](/pricing).

![Flowchart matching player types to trivia apps: competitive learner, casual social, group or classroom, music fan, and solo player](../../../assets/blog/best-trivia-apps/best-trivia-apps-decision.png)
*A quick sorter by player type: competitive learners, casual social players, group hosts, music fans, and solo players.*

| App | Free experience | Ad status | Paid reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| LearnClash | Daily duels, all topics, ELO, 1 SRS/day | No ads | Premium practice, topic creation, Clash Chat, stats |
| Trivia Crack | Large community and classic wheel | Contains ads | Ad removal and extras |
| QuizDuel | 1v1 matches and events | Contains ads | VIP features and fewer limits |
| Trivia Star | Offline solo levels | Contains ads | Coins, hints, subscriptions, bundles |
| Kahoot | Host small sessions | No standard ads | Larger participant caps and features |
| Wayground | Basic classroom tools | No standard ads | Storage, premium resources, reporting |

Free does not mean equal. An install that shows an ad after every question or turn, which is what Marlvel's May 2026 report documents on Trivia Crack's free app, costs more attention than a quiet subscription screen ever will. And a free classroom tool that is perfect for a teacher can be useless to two friends chasing a rematch tonight.

LearnClash Premium stays simple: $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan, purchased in-app on iOS and Android. It adds Premium practice mode, anytime topic creation up to a 100-topic library, Clash Chat, advanced stats, and cosmetics. The core loop costs nothing.

## Which Trivia App Should You Pick?

What trivia app should you play? Answer three questions and the shortlist writes itself: who is playing, whether the knowledge should stick, and how much you care about ads. Competitive 1v1 learning points to LearnClash. Casual friend networks point to Trivia Crack or QuizDuel, hosted groups to Kahoot or Wayground, offline solo play to Trivia Star, and exam prep to Quizlet.

Watchlist: Word Cloud Trivia has a smart visual clue mechanic and two daily challenges, but its Android footprint was still 100+ downloads on July 27, 2026. SongPop Party is ranked, and its music-only scope keeps it below the broader trivia apps.

Honestly, the best long-term setup is often two apps. Keep LearnClash for any-topic duels and the memory system, then hold on to Kahoot, Sporcle, or Trivia Star for the nights when live hosting, massive quiz browsing, or offline solo play matters more than a rivalry.
